Programs
Arizona Clean & Beautiful sponsors and coordinates education and cleanup programs around the state. Use these links to explore our community improvement, beautification, and waste minimization programs.
Litter Hotline
The Litter Hotline is a state-wide program allowing motorist’s to report litter incidents observed from their vehicles. This program is a collaborative effort between Arizona Clean & Beautiful, the Arizona Department of Transportation and the Governor’s Don’t Trash Arizona program.
Keep America Beautiful’s Great American Cleanup
Keep America Beautiful’s Great American Cleanup (GAC) is the nation’s largest community improvement effort, held March through May each year.
Adopt-A-Shore Program
The Adopt-A-Shore Program was given a major boost when The Ocean Conservancy, a prestigious advocate in protecting water resources, joined forces with Arizona Clean & Beautiful. The program supports volunteers who adopt and clean the shores of Arizona’s lakes, rivers, streams and washes while collecting litter data for a national litter prevention initiative.
Litter-Free Events
Litter-Free Events are organized by Arizona Clean & Beautiful to promote litter prevention and education. Other litter-free events are organized to clean or beautify specific sites.
Recycling
Recycling is a large part of the litter solution. Arizona Clean & Beautiful collaborates with the Challenger Space Science Center to host a recycling site for CLF Light Bulbs. The public can drop off their used bulbs any time while the Center is open. The Challenger Space Center is located at 21170 N. 83rd Avenue in Peoria, Arizona and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Green Science
Green Science is a new education initiative developed by the Challenger Space Science Center and Arizona Clean & Beautiful. The first Green Science camp was held at the Center from July 7 through July 11.
