the state.

The Litter Hotline provides
motorists with an opportunity to be part of the litter solution. People who see someone littering can
call their observations into the hotline. ACB sends a letter informing the
registered owner that someone in their vehicle was observed littering
along Arizona roadways, and that
littering is against the law! A
litter bag for the car is included.
- Keep America Beautiful’s Great
American Cleanup (GAC) is the nation’s largest community
improvement effort, held March through May each year.
- The “Adopt-A-Shore” Program was given a major boost
when The Ocean Conservancy, a prestigious advocate in protecting water
resources joined forces with ACB to expand the program in which
volunteers adopt and clean the shores of Arizona’s lakes, rives, streams
and washes.

The Annual Governor’s Pride in Arizona
Awards Conference and Luncheon is the only statewide
environmental award program that recognizes communities, businesses, and
organizations that have demonstrated a commitment to improving the
environmental quality of life in Arizona by the development of
innovative, sustainable programs
- “Litter-free” Events The Arizona
Super Bowl XXX Host Committee asked ACB to implement the litter-free
concept and a recycling program at more than 100 sanctioned events. Success was validated when the NFL
adopted ACB’s litter-free, source reduction and
recycling plan guidelines for all future Super Bowls. Other groups utilizing ACB’s litter-free event expertise include the Grand
Canyon State Games, Arizona’s largest
amateur sports festival, Parada
del Sol and
the Arizona State Fair.
